the GREY blazer.

lately, i've been madly inspired by the grey blazer.

but not just any grey blazer...

it needs to be wool with mixed tones, oversized, and menswear inspired.

weeks of "grey blazer" obsessing have passed.

you can only imagine my great surprize when i found one for $10 at The Clothes Horse Thrift.

i grabbed it, held on, and haven't let go since.

the first time i wore MY grey blazer, i dressed down and channeled Annie Hall with a twist. hooray!

truthfully, there is nothing "basic" about black.
the color black is strong, sensual, loud and subtle all at the same time.
black shifts depending on the person and the mood they exude.
currently, black is my uniform as I mourn the loss of summer.

pieces of me.

fall (or autumn as we call it in south africa) is fast becoming my fave season.

the weather cools, people cuddle, hot drinks soothe, & burning wood brings forth fond memories.

these are the things i've been enjoying//

historical carousel rides in Hartford.

leaves that look painted.

layers of clothing and coffee.

warm and fuzzy company.

these shoes, by this designer, in marshalls, for a quarter of the price... not in my size :/

end of day yummy by a fire.

good nights and great mornings.

i hear the secrets that you keep...

when you're talking in your sleep.

my uncle once said...

the dainty gold, brass or silver necklace is the perfect detail to any outfit.
layering different length chains and charms is such a creative (and self expressive) take to this look. oh, and adding a loud blingy-blinger never hurts.
