elephant's trunk

we recently went to a flea market in new milford, CT. after telling albert it was only a few mins away (small white lie), i finally got him to go. it took us about an hour to arrive at the ELEPHANT'S TRUNK.

i was in "one person's trash, another person's treasure" heaven,
while albert was just... there.
upon entrance he went straight for the lemonade stand.

the market had an amazing amount of second hand items, old/beautiful furniture, and trinkets to keep me busy for days. However, this state of awe and wonder was not shared by albert... although he did find a rather large ostrich and ask me to take his picture. so strange!

old toy cars. why don't children play and collect these anymore?
what happened to innocence?

a beautiful antique train station bench... super long.
(please not the lemonade in hand.)

old window frames with glass.
they would make a great head board or just decor for the wall.

old glass jewelry.

loved these two book ends.
went back to purchase them, but the seller had already packed up. :(

this find was by albert.
i love old trunks and this one said "MEH" ...inside joke.
it could have been ours for $300 in cash. who goes to a flea market and brings $300 in cash?

and here's the ostrich!
